February Meeting Minutes

Sunshine Basket Update: We are still collecting items for Margie Simmerman. If you would like to participate in this ministry, please bring your gift wrapped on Wednesday or Sunday. Some suggestions include: unscented lotions, body wash, candles, etc.(Margie has allergies to things with a fragrance); devotional or inspirational books; gift cards for Lifeway or other Christian bookstores; restaurant gift cards for take-out places(their house is in a uproar because of the building addition project for the apt for John’s parents); note cards, etc. Our next Sunshine Basket will be for Peggy Greene when she has her foot surgery.

Cookbook: Bring your favorite recipes in any format you choose or e-mail them Christy Burnette or me.

Laurie Hix is working with Stephanie Morgan & Lennie Latham to organize a Book Club for the Women of Covenant Church and friends. They will meet once a month, possibly on the 3rd Monday of the month, starting March 23rd (one week later this month). The plan is to read a designated book in advance of the meeting and be prepared to discuss it with the group. The first book is: YadaYada Prayer Group by Neta Jackson. If you are interested in participating, please contact Laurie, Stephanie or Lennie. Lennie has checked Amazon.com and paperback copies are available for about $8.00. So if you would like to purchase a copy, please let Lennie know and she will place the order for the group.

Book Club

We are starting a book club! We will have a meeting for all those interested on Monday, February 16th in the Hope Room at 7pm.

We are planning to meet the Monday, March 23rd 6:45pm for discussion and fellowship. The first selection will be "Yada Yada Prayer Group" by Neta Jackson. Please see Laurie Hix, Lennie Latham or Stephanie Morgan if you have questions!
